Midnight Theme
A dark hosting panel theme: turning it on, Change Style, a package or the Universal Theme Manager, and the accent, rail and card colours, brand text and column options. Premium.
Premium theme (addon theme-midnight). A dark look for the hosting panel: deep navy surfaces, light text and a bright accent, on exactly the same layout as Orbit. The tools, the groups and the General Information and Statistics column are where customers expect them. It is easy on the eyes at night and makes your brand look different from every other panel.
Midnight is a skin for the hosting panel (the Hosting Panel side). The Host Manager keeps its own theme, Slate.
Switching it on
- The addon
theme-midnightmust be on your licence. Press Check now on the Licence page after buying. See The licence key. - The theme files must be in
themes/hosting/midnight/. They ship with the panel. If you bought it later, upload the theme ZIP under Themes → Theme Manager → Hosting panel themes → Upload a Theme. - Switch the plugin Midnight Theme on in Plugins → Manage Plugins. It adds a status page under Themes → Midnight Theme.
Without the addon, the theme card in the Theme Manager shows Licence needed, and any account set to Midnight falls back to Orbit until the licence covers it.
The status page
Themes → Midnight Theme in the Host Manager shows:
- Theme files: Installed or Missing, and where they are.
- Version.
- Licence: whether the addon is on your licence.
- Accounts using it: how many accounts have chosen Midnight.
and buttons to the Theme Manager and Manage Plugins.
Who uses it
Three ways to get Midnight on an account:
- The customer picks it under Preferences → Change Style in the hosting panel. The page lists every theme the licence allows. The change applies to that account at once.
- The host, for one package: set Hosting Panel Theme to Midnight in Add a Package or Edit a Package. Accounts that get that package start with Midnight.
- The host, for many accounts: Themes → Universal Theme Manager. Choose Midnight, tick the accounts (or choose all) and apply.
To make it the default for new accounts, press Set as default on its card in the Theme Manager. The Tweak setting Default theme of the hosting panel login decides the look of the sign-in page.
Options
In Themes → Theme Manager → Hosting panel themes → Midnight → Options:
| Option | Default | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| Accent colour | #38bdf8 | Links, the logo mark and primary buttons. |
| Left rail colour | #0b1220 | The thin rail on the left. |
| Card colour | #1e293b | Cards, the top bar and tables. |
| Brand text | AIOhPanel | The name next to the logo mark. Put your hosting company's name here. |
| Show the Statistics column | Yes | The bars for disk, bandwidth and counts on the Home page. |
| Show the General Information column | Yes | User, domain, IP, home folder, last login, theme and package. |
| Tools per row | 3 | 2, 3 or 4 columns of tools. |
Save Options keeps them and Reset to Defaults goes back. The colours use a colour picker or a hex code such as #38bdf8. Choose an accent with enough contrast against the dark surfaces; a light blue, green or orange works well.
Notes
- The Midnight pages use the same text, so Bengali works as it does in Orbit. See Languages.
- Plugins add their tools to Midnight the same way as to Orbit. A plugin only needs the standard panel components to look right.
- Webmail has its own small theme and does not change with this one.
- You can make your own theme the same way: copy
themes/hosting/midnight, changetheme.json(code, name, tier) and the templates, and upload it as a ZIP. See Plugins and themes.
