Free plugin. One-click installers for popular web applications, in the hosting panel. A customer picks an application, fills a short form and gets a working copy on one of their domains, with its database made for them.
The applications

For the customer
Software → Site Software. The page shows a card for each application with an Install button, then the list of what is already installed.
The install form has:

| Directory | A folder under the domain's document root, for example blog. Empty puts the application in the root. The folder must be empty. |

| Database | Create a database and a user automatically, or I will set the database up myself. |
Press Install. The plugin downloads the application, unpacks it into the folder, writes its configuration file with the database login, and fills in the administrator where the application allows it. The database name and password are shown once on the result line, so copy them. The new site appears under Installed applications with Open and Admin links.
Remove deletes the files and, if you agree, the database. It cannot be undone. Installs count against the package limits: Max SQL Databases applies when the plugin makes a database.
If the archive cannot be downloaded (no outgoing internet, or a demo host), the plugin writes a few starter files with a note, and marks the install as starter files.
For the host
Hosting Panel → Site Software Installs in the Host Manager. It lists the applications on offer with a count of installs for each, and All installations across the accounts you can see: account, application, address, version, database, date. Root can remove an installation.
Choose applications opens the plugin's settings (Plugins → Manage Plugins → Site Software → Settings):
- Applications on offer - a yes or no for each application. Switch off the ones you do not want to support.
- Download addresses - the archive address for each. Empty uses the official one. Set a mirror on your own server, or a
file://path, to speed up installs and to run them without outside access.
The tweak Allow site software installers under Tweak Settings → Software switches installers off for the whole server. A customer sees the tool only if the feature list includes Site Software.
Keeping applications safe
The plugin installs applications; it does not update them afterwards. Tell customers to update from the application's own dashboard, or install the premium WordPress Toolkit, which updates and secures WordPress for them. See WordPress Toolkit. When an account is terminated, its install records are deleted with it.
